Lotus Arena Material

The Material
This is a material inspired by the Lotus flower map in League of Legends' Arena mode. I've always thought the map was very visually striking and wanted to try and tackle creating a fully procedural painterly material.

Stylised but Grounded
I wanted to keep the material true to the stylisation of the original piece so I kept the rocks smooth and with edge highlights. I did miss out a few elements of the original map, such as the markers that direct the player to the Hexgates as I felt these were nice additions but not necessary for the scope of this project as I had aimed to complete this project over 2 days, which I managed to achieve.

Procedurally Generated
One of the key points in this project was to ensure that everything was fully procedural and repeatable, so I could edit anything in the graph without needing to go forward in the graph and update other nodes. I also created a custom node for this project to save some time on creating rock shapes and I found that this saved me a lot of time on what would be repetitive tasks.

The Reference
The original map from League of Legends that inspired this project.
